Operation Rescuing My Hair

Something really bad happened to my hair... Last week I colored my hair, which I've been doing since I was in high school. I don't know it's because I use the hair is too strong, or I left it too long, or both. My hair was ruined afterward and it fell out a lot. Now, I'm trying to rescue my hair by using any possible treatments - Bumble & bumble's Tonic, John Frieda's Root Awakening, Aveeno's Nourish Volumize, Olive Oil - you named it. I'll give it a try for a few days, if nothing gets better, I have to cut all my hair which I've been trying to grow for the last 4 months. Boo...
(Below: I already got my hair style picked out, just in case I can't rescue my hair. pictures source)

Models' Boycott

Seven models were to wear outfits by Azzedine Alaïa to the MET to celebrate the opening of the “Model as Muse” exhibit, but Alaïa has asked them not to wear the dresses because the his work is not in the exhibition. Dresses were made for Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Stephanie Seymour, Marie-Sophie Wilson, Veronica Webb, Farida Khelfa and Tatjana Patitz and none of them - except Tatjana - decided not to attend the party. Tatjana Patitz showed up in Carolina Herrera instead (above.)

Finally, CHANEL N°5 PERFUME COMMERCIAL has arrived. The full length commercial stars Audrey Tautou and Travis Davenport, directed by Jean Pierre Jeunet and music by Billie Holiday - "I'm a fool to want you." You can also watch the extended version, 2 mins 20 secs, at CHANEL N°5 official website here.

Stalking Mr. Luz

Jesus Luz was spot at the MET gala with Michelle Alves, not Madonna. Nice try, Madonna...

If I Were Madonna

I don't have a problem that she wore "bunny ears" to the MET, my problem is why she (or whoever) picked the most boring outfit from LV Fall 09 collection. The outfit looks like my Halloween "French maid" costume and too simple for her (who was the face of Spring campaign and will also be in Fall 09 campaign.) Below are my picks if I were Madonna...

Las Capturas del Día

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, "Catch of the Day" goes south of the border today. Paulo Quevedo (César de la Vega) is a Mexican actor/model. He was born on February 1, 1975, in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. SOURCE

A Piece of LANVIN

Ruling the world, one label at a time...
Finally, I'm able to own something from LANVIN. Honestly, if it's not because of the discount, I don't think I'm going to spend this much for a pair of sneakers.

It's Here

My Wish List...

Another wish list from McQueen & PUMA...
$900 - Alexander McQueen for PUMA two-tone exotic lizard leather with translucent
anatomical spine rubber sole. Aren't they gorgeous ???

Stupid Protesters

I hate these violent protesters...This is a pure violence, not like designers robbery in London last year.

According to police and witnesses, a group of about 50 protesters, believed to be anarchists, tossed around fake $100 bills, shot paint balls, and broke several windows of businesses in San Francisco's Union Square area at about 8:50 PM on Friday. The vandalized stores are Macy's, De Beers, Longchamp, PRADA, Armani, Tumi, Guess and Montblanc; it's causing approximately $30,000 worth of damage. Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.

Hot Muse

Now I know why Baptiste Giabiconi is the current muse of Karl Lagerfeld. Look at these flashback photo of him on TÊTU magazine No. 127 and you'll know too.

My Wish List...

Atelier Ruby for Karl Lagerfeld's Fall 2009 accessories collection.

Clip of the Day

"Fitting Room Follies" is a short film by Karl Lagerfeld starring Lara Stone and Baptiste Giabiconi. The film is kinda boring. I wouldn't be blogging about it if it's not because of Baptiste, who is everywhere in Karl's life at this moment. I guess somewhere in CHANEL Headquarter, Sébastien Jondeau and Brad Koenig are green with envy.

What's Your Essentials ?

According to Oxford dictionary, the definition of "Essential" is
es•sen•tial

1. Something that is needed in a particular situation or in order to do a particular thing.

2. An important basic fact or piece of knowledge about a subject.

For many people, their essentials may be food and shelters; but for some, their essentials are "Leopard stole".

Day of Dicision

After Iowa and Vermont, "we will either get on the train, or be left at the station..."
The California Supreme Court will rule on the challenge to Proposition 8 before June 3rd. Come out to either celebrate or protest the outcome on
Day of Decision.

Bravo to Russell Simmons

Rap mogul, Russell Simmons wrote an open letter to NY Governor, David Paterson, to support his work.

Dear Governor Paterson,

I write this letter to you, my friend, to publicly announce my gratitude for your courage and leadership on issues that will ultimately make this state, nation and the world a better place. I have known you for a very long time and have always admired your passion for doing what is right, which is often times not the most popular. This is what makes you a great leader, especially for our under-served communities that you have advocated on behalf of for decades. We were all inspired by your dedication to reforming the drug laws of our state and recognize the accomplishment your administration achieved by ending the Rockefeller Drug Laws after 36 years. So, we know when you believe in something, what you can do.

However, as your friend and supporter, we know you can do much more, if you forget about what the poll numbers say and let your heart lead. You have recently done this in showing support for the legalization of gay marriage. History will show you are right and will we support you on this issue. Mr. Governor, we want to go to work for you and we will, but we will not be easy on you, because we know your potential. When you were unexpectedly put into the role of Chief Executive of New York State, you were handed a plate full of problems. Although your first year was a bumpy ride, we are beginning to see your great leadership and vision shine through and take over. I encourage you to keep leading with your heart, and address issues like the promotion of good diet, well-being and education for youth, as well creating new jobs (hopefully green jobs) for our workers and making sure that every person in our state can afford health care. As the first African-American Governor of New York, you have already made history. We now want to help you create a legacy.

Respectfully,

Russell Simmons

Trailer: Angels & Demons

Looking forward to "Angels & Demons", starring Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor, because I love "The Da Vinci Code." The movie will be released nationwide on May 15th.
