More on Madonna

  • Madonna could be the latest of a string of celebrities to pose as a model for Swedish low-cost fashion retailer Hennes and Mauritz (H&M). A Swedish newspaper said that Madonna was in negotiations with the company. "She's a superstar, a style icon - and controversial. Now Madonna could be H and M's next clothing model," the paper said. H & M would neither confirm nor deny the report.
  • Madonna might get the highest price ever paid for a TV concert special - $15 million from NBC.

Madonna: Confession Tour 06 - Update

I saw Madonna's concert last night in San Jose, it was alright. The show was better than "Drown World Tour" but definitely not as good as "Re-Invention Tour". She sang too many songs from her new album which were slow and not many people could sing along. But the show was great as far as giving strong statements about AIDS, religion and politic.

New Designer Alert

Thakoon Panichgul, born in Northern Thailand, moved to the United States with his family when he was 11 years old, and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduating from Boston University with a business degree, he moved to New York. As a fashion writer, Thakoon discovered that his ideas were often conceived through a designer's point of view, and he eventually pursued formal studies at Parsons School of Design. In September 2004, Thakoon produced his first ready to wear collection, and quickly became a favorite with the fashion press, top editors and stylists, and celebrities. He has become known for timelessly feminine designs which are as romantic and sensual as they are modern and innovative.

Quote of the day

"You will never move on if you don't let go"

New York City in 2016

In 2016, one Times Square isn’t going to be enough to fulfill the entertainment needs of that bigger, younger, more diverse population, and you’ll be talking about the lights on 125th Street. Fresh Kills will be three times the size of Central Park. If you imagine the city as a play - every neighborhood has a role - a lot of understudies are finally going to be called onstage. Foresee the future of Manhattan... SOURCE

we should love thy neighbor

Madonna has defended herself against criticism by Christian groups over her decision to have herself mock-crucified on stage during her current world tour. The stunt involves Madonna being strapped to a 20-foot high crucifix while wearing her own crown of thorns. This has caused many Christian groups to speak out against the singer. Madonna has defended herself by saying that it was part of an appeal to get her fans to donate cash to help the fight against AIDS. Madonna said: "I don't think Jesus would be mad at me and the message I'm trying to send. Jesus taught that we should love thy neighbor." During the song 'Live to Tell', images of Third World poverty were projected behind the singer while numbers appeared representing the 12 million children orphaned by AIDS in Africa. SOURCE

La Maison Unique Longchamp

Longchamp is opening new 9,800-square-foot store on Spring Street, NYC designed by British architect Thomas Heatherwick. He found the way to draw the customers to the second floor which most of the retail space is. He added glassed-in ceiling and a 60-ton "stair landscape" made of steel ribbons covered in natural rubber, which separate and converge almost like a waterfall.

WTF

Soul Patrol

Taylor Hicks won American Idol tonight as I expected. The show was amazing with a lot of special guests; Prince, May J. Blige, Toni Braxton, Clay Aiken (with K.D. Lang's hairdo). The best performance for me was Burt Bacharach and Dionne Warwick.
Watch how Taylor beat MePhee on the finale at Malcontent

Good excuse, Janet

Janet Jackson is back and looks smoking hot after losing 60 pounds which she gained for a role in the upcoming movie "Tennessee," which she had to pass on because of her new album. The timing didn't quite work with trying to finish my album, and unfortunately I wasn't able to do the film. (The role went to Mariah Carey, isn't it funny ???). Her latest album, "20 Years Old," is set to be release on Sep 26.

American Idol Finale

Tonight, the most anticipation for AI is not just the fact that Taylor Hicks and Katherine McPhee will perform their own versions of the same song, which will be instantly released as the winner's first single. But Clay Aiken will also be performing (I mean singing) on the show, if reporters will not mention anything that related to "gay" allegation. SOURCE

Are you kidding me ??

James Sooy and Oliver Gibson have come up with Pierced Glasses. New glasses require piercing the bridge of your nose. "Paying ... to have someone cut your eyes and shoot a laser in them (just so you don’t have to wear glasses) seems extreme to me…" said the creator. And piercing your nose bridge is not ??
