Spring 2006 Haute Coutour

Paris Spring 2006 Coutour collections has passed. My favorites this year are Christian Lacroix and Elie Saab, they made the amazing gowns just in time for my Oscar red carpet event. I'm a little disappointed for John Galliano, his designs look more like serial killer/mental hospital outfit. Click here for the complete collections.

Clockwise from top left: Saab, Lacroix, Dior, Gaultier

Quote of the day

"I still find personally disappointing at people kinda going out of their way to voice their disgust or their opinion against the way two people choose to love one another"

What the hell is this?

I'm always a fan of Louis Vuitton, but can anyone explain this to me? Does Marc Jacobs run out of his creativity? That's why he designs such an aweful shoes. I'm sure somebody who has money but no taste will spend $400 for this.

Red is the new Black

American Express announced its partnership with Product RED1, a revolutionary new business initiative created by Bono and Bobby Shriver, Chairman of DATA (Debt, AIDS, Trade, Africa), to deliver a sustainable flow of private sector money to the Global Fund2 to help fight AIDS in Africa.

Available March 1st (in UK only), those spending with American Express RED will be able to play their part in supporting this important cause by simply using their credit card as normal. For every pound spent on the card, American Express will donate a minimum of 1% to the Global Fund.

Beckham's trash a.k.a treasure

David Beckham spends around £1000 per month on his underwear. He buys his Calvin Klein Pro Stretch underpants from a department store in Madrid every two weeks. A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper:" He buys 30 pairs every time and spends between 800 and 900 Euros (£545 to £615). He never buys anything other than Calvin Klein from the Pro Stretch range." The reason; he never wears the same underwear twice. Now I have a real good reason to dig through his trash.

Label Queens are mourning

Fire hits SoHo building home of Prada's flagship store on early Sunday morning. The fire started at the street or basement level. The building, formerly occupied by the Guggenheim Museum SoHo, is owned by millionaire Peter Brant, the husband of Stephanie Seymour. Brant Publications on the fifth floor is home to several magazines, including Interview, the pop-culture glossy founded by Andy Warhol in 1969. The building was shuttered yesterday and will apparently need extensive repairs before it can reopen.

Inside the Prada store, large puddles and shattered glass surrounded dusty mannequins. Worse than that was Prada just received new shipment of the merchandise worth $5 millions. Prada's 40 millions flagship store opened in December 2001 amid hoopla over its high-tech fitting rooms, where glass doors turn opaque at the push of a button and cameras show shoppers their backsides. Here are the pictures inside the building.

The ONE Campaign

The ONE Campaign: The campaign that people knows little about it.

ONE is a new effort by Americans to rally Americans - ONE by ONE - to fight the emergency of global AIDS and extreme poverty. The ONE Campaign is engaging Americans through a diverse coalition of faith-based and anti-poverty organizers to show the steps people can take, ONE by ONE, to fight global AIDS and poverty.

The ONE Campaign seeks to give Americans a voice, to ring church bells and cell phones, on campuses and in coffee shops, for an historic pact to fight the global AIDS emergency and end extreme poverty. We believe that allocating an additional ONE percent of the U.S. budget toward providing basic needs like health, education, clean water and food, would transform the futures and hopes of an entire generation of the poorest countries.

Coincidence or Copycat ???

Can you guess from the pictures above which one is the Apple's ads?
New Apple/Intel ads appears to be very very similar to "Such Great Height" video from the band "The Postal Service". Click Here to see the side-by-side comparison screencaps.

Spring 2006's Trends

Spring is coming. Here are some trends for your new look and new wardrobe. clockwise from top left: Safari, Cowboy, Nautical and Nautical.

Peter Sarsgaard

Last night I watch "Saturday Night Live" hosted by Peter Sarsgaard. The show was OK but I managed to watch the whole show because of the host. I think he's very sexy, something about his eyes (looks like always high) and his voice. For some people who don't know him, he's pretty much in almost every movie in the past 5 years; Jaarhead, Flightplan, The Skeleton Key, Kinsey, The Cell, Boys Don't Cry, etc. Too bad he's unavailable, he's currently dating Meggie Gyllenhaal. I still have to keep dreaming...

Deja Vu at the Golden Globe

Who knew Kirsten Dunst is a fashion Icon. She wore the same dress 3 years before Reese Witherspoon wore at the Golden Globe. She also wore another dress before Natalie Portman and Debra Messing. More shocking is both dresses were from Chanel. I guess there will be some jobs opening at Chanel.

Yeah...got my computer back

Finally I got my computer back. The problem was from using "limewire" which they embedded tons of malicious programs onto my computer. Lesson to be learned...
