Food for Thought

People come into your life for a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime. When you know which one it is for a person, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a Godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be.Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered, and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFE TIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons: things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

My wish list...

The little black dress that Audrey Hepburn wore in the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's will be auctioned at Christie's on December 5. The dress, which was designed by Hubert de Givenchy, is expected to go for up to £70,000 towards City of Joy Aid, the Calcutta-based non profit organisation that helps children in Calcutta. Hepburn donated the dress to the founders of City of Joy before she died in 1993.

Last Call for Circuit Queens

Unless you've been living under a rock or you're not circuit queens, this weekend is San Diego Pride weekend, one of the biggest pride event in the U.S. The reason SD pride is so popular; think Abercrombie & Fitch and AllAmericaGuys.com combine. The event will start on Friday with my favorite DJ., Brett Henrichsen and will go on until Sunday for the amazing Zoo Party. Are you ready ?? You still have a whole day today to hit the gym, visit your tanning salon and do the extreme non-fat-non-carb diet.

Balenciaga's new look

Balenciaga launched new version of its website with more collections for women and men. My favorite collection is "The Balenciaga.Edition" which designs follow closely the original Haute Couture pieces from Cristobal Balenciaga's collections. Each piece will carry a special and tag stating the original date of design. Can't get any better than this...

"I really love you, but she's Madonna"

Robbie Williams new album "Rudebox74", includes a very interesting track called "She's Madonna" which based on an alleged conversation Guy Ritchie had with his ex-girlfriend, Tania Strecker when he left her. According to her version of events, Guy Ritchie ended their romance with the words: "Look, you know I really love you, but she's Madonna". Probably without realising the subject matter behind the song, Madonna gave "She's Madonna" the thumbs-up when Robbie personally played it to her at her London home earlier this summer. "No doubt he'll be keeping his fingers crossed that she'll agree to appear in the video when it's a single early next year." The track - a duet with Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys - is already being described as a pop masterpiece. Robbie also dated Tania back in 2000. SOURCE

Sharing that same vision of fragrance made the partnership easy, smooth and exciting."

Another hot day in San Francisco

Not as bad as over the weekend.

One step back to go forward...

I had major backslidings over the weekend. I hung out with "him" before I was ready. One good thing was - if I want to overcome my fear, I have to face it. Last night I ran into 2 more people who I was infatuated with, but now there is absolutely no feeling left. Eventually "he" will be in the same category. Lately I've been reading Yahoo Horoscope, I'm surprise how correct they are....

Faith Crime in UK

The Gay Police Association (GPA) is being investigated after it claimed a rise in homophobic attacks was due to religious belief. An advert, showing a Bible next to a pool of blood under the heading "in the name of the father", appeared in the Diversity supplement of the Independent newspaper on 29 June, two days ahead of the Europride gay and lesbian parade in London. It stated: "In the last 12 months, the GPA has recorded a 74% increase in homophobic incidents, where the sole or primary motivating factor was the religious belief of the perpetrator."The GPA was formed in 1990 and has members in all 52 UK police forces.

Let's there be light

Sorry for disappeared again, this time due to personal turmoil. It's been 4 days since I made a big decision not to continue seeing someone who I really like because the timing is not right. By now, I'm not sure whether I made the right decision or not.

When it comes to relationship, should I follow my heart or my head?

Will my options be only either "black" or "white", can it be something in between? There are many questions that I don't have the answers. Am I thinking too much?? (here we go, another question).
Last night there was a backsliding...Oh well, I'm a human being and not perfect. Let's hope that I'll see the light at the end of tunnel soon.

Controversial PSP Ads

Debate over a recent Sony billboard in the Netherlands advertising the release of the Ceramic White PlayStation Portable in the region was fittingly white-hot last week. Sony has pulled the advertising campaign and apologized to anyone offended by it. An ads featuring a Caucasian woman holding a black woman by the jaw in a threatening manner was decried as racially insensitive. A Sony representative offered the following statement:

Whilst the images used in the campaign were intended solely to highlight the contrast between the different colors available for the PSP, we recognize that the subject matter of one specific image may have caused concern in some countries not directly affected by the advertising. As a result, we have now withdrawn the campaign.

We further recognize that people have a wide variety of perceptions about such imagery and we wish to apologize to those who perceived the advert differently to that intended. In future, we will apply greater sensitivity in our selection of campaign imagery, and will take due account of the increasingly global reach of such local adverts, and their potential impact in other countries.

According to the Sony representative, the company had only received a single complaint about the ads from within the Netherlands.

Do you know ?

2006 marks the 60 th anniversary of the bikini. The infamous two piece swim suit was considered scandalous when it was introduced in 1946. It was so explosive that it was named after the Island of "Bikini" where the first atomic bomb was tested. French designer Louis Reard could not get any models to wear it and had to hire an exotic dancer. Three weeks earlier another French designer, Jacques Heim, introduced a two piece swim suit that he called "The Atome". Heim received the official credit in the history books but not Reard.
