No LV for 3G

Bad news for iPhone owners who are LV lovers !!!
Apparently, the new iPhone 3G is slightly too big for any of LV cases that are available right now. I stopped by the store yesterday to get one for my friend and SA told me the cases are for the old version of iPhone (even the not yet released Damier Graphite, what a bummer !!!) Then, he told me the story of one customer brought in 3G to try on and got stuck. That SA had to cut the case open to get the iPhone out.

Frida at SF MOMA

I've been talking to my friend about going to see Frida Kahlo exhibit at SFMOMA this week. The exhibition will be showing until September 28. The Mexican artist Frida Kahlo began painting in 1926, while recovering from a near-fatal bus accident, and soon became captivated by the medium's expressive possibilities. This exhibition, commemorating the centennial of the artist's birth, brings together paintings that span her career, along with a selection of her own collection of photographs, most of which have never been on public display.

Being Too NICE ?

Nice guys finish last...Is it true ? Is it bad for being too NICE ? From this article, the answer is "YES."

According to the author, April Masini: "nice" equates with boring and predictable. Look up "nice" in the dictionary and you find: pleasant; agreeable; satisfactory. In other words, average - not exceptional, not exciting, and not sexy. The nice guy cares too much, too soon (Hello, that's me.) He has made the woman too important and too valuable (me again.) He is too available, too eager to please, too accommodating, and he gives too much (and me.) By doing so, he has made himself appear desperate, insecure, needy of this woman's attention, affection, and approval (OMG, me, me and me.) After all, if he's already doing and giving everything, without her doing or giving anything - why would she value him? She won't. She is not going to value him any more than he values himself. What she is going to do is look for someone else, someone who she perceives as being more worthy, more confident, and more valuable.

The Wait is OVER

PRADA opened the new flagship store in San Francisco yesterday at 201 Post Street in Union Square area, is the brand's 11th U.S. stores. The opening party included who's who of San Francisco high society such as Mayor Gavin Newsom, Vanessa Getty and former Mayor Willie Brown; with the food catered by Chef Thomas Keller of French Laundry and Per Se. The store was a decade in the making. Designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, the 5,650-square-foot space replaces the brand's previous women's-only boutique on Geary Street. It is stocked with menswear, womenwear, custom tailored suits and accessories. The store currently offers pieces from the recent Cruise collection, giving those in the Bay Area first dibs on the season's coveted envelope clutches. SOURCE

Updated: I stopped by the store yesterday and nothing excited me. The store is nice but not like the one in L.A. and NYC.
