The Wait is OVER

PRADA opened the new flagship store in San Francisco yesterday at 201 Post Street in Union Square area, is the brand's 11th U.S. stores. The opening party included who's who of San Francisco high society such as Mayor Gavin Newsom, Vanessa Getty and former Mayor Willie Brown; with the food catered by Chef Thomas Keller of French Laundry and Per Se. The store was a decade in the making. Designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, the 5,650-square-foot space replaces the brand's previous women's-only boutique on Geary Street. It is stocked with menswear, womenwear, custom tailored suits and accessories. The store currently offers pieces from the recent Cruise collection, giving those in the Bay Area first dibs on the season's coveted envelope clutches. SOURCE

Updated: I stopped by the store yesterday and nothing excited me. The store is nice but not like the one in L.A. and NYC.

PRADA SF

Look like somebody heard my complaint. Soon, San Francisco is going to have a new PRADA store, replacing the really really small one (and useless) we currently have. This new store will be across the street from De Beers flagship store - where is the original site of PRADA store. Photo source

Stupid Protesters

I hate these violent protesters...This is a pure violence, not like designers robbery in London last year.

According to police and witnesses, a group of about 50 protesters, believed to be anarchists, tossed around fake $100 bills, shot paint balls, and broke several windows of businesses in San Francisco's Union Square area at about 8:50 PM on Friday. The vandalized stores are Macy's, De Beers, Longchamp, PRADA, Armani, Tumi, Guess and Montblanc; it's causing approximately $30,000 worth of damage. Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.

Face Lifting

A couple of pictures from LV store in San Francisco. They're putting up new window displays welcoming the release of Graffiti collection, but who can beat this SoHo Store. (Picture taken via PRADA phone)
