Hotel on a Dam

Oslo-based "Snøhetta" is developing a spectacular gallery and hotel complex by one of Europe’s grandest hydroelectric dams, in the steep Tafjord valley on Norway’s north-west coast. The Galerie Tafjord will hover as a transparent glass beam in front of the elegantly curved 96m-high dam, with the dam wall being used to project hi-tech art installations and light shows.The dam also doubles as a structural foundation for 42 shoebox-shaped hotel rooms with floor-to-ceiling glass walls. Bathrooms are partially transparent, allowing visitors to take a bath while contemplating the scenery. The site will open for business next Fall, by which time the hotel will have been named.

Karl Lagerfeld feels like he has too much free time. Beside designing for Chanel, Fendi and his own Lagerfeld Collection, Mr. Lagerfeld has announced that he is launching a new denim inspired collection for men and women that will be known as "K Karl Lagerfeld". "I'm tired of complicated names," the designer explained of the label whose strong, graphic logo will appear on buttons and swing tickets throughout the collection. The collection will be launched for autumn/winter 2007-8 at Bread & Butter in Barcelona between January 17-19.

Are We Orthorexic ??

Do we gay people suffer from "Orthorexia" ? Orthorexia, or orthorexia nervosa is a term coined by Dr. Steven Bratman, a Colorado specialist, to denote what he considers to be an eating disorder characterized by a "fixation" on eating healthful food. Bratman describes orthorexia as an unhealthy obsession with what the sufferer considers to be healthy eating. The subject may avoid certain foods, such as those containing fats, preservatives, or animal products. The psychiatric community has not officially recognized the condition. Bratman's concept has been widely criticized by those who feel that focusing on healthful diet is generally beneficial and does not indicate a mental imbalance. Just look at these gay magazines and you know why we're health conscious.

Anti-PETA at "Dreamgirls" premiere

The movie "Dreamgirls" had a premiere last night in NYC and packed with many celebrities. To me it looked more like Anti-PETA parade. Fur is everywhere from ladies; Queen Latifah and Gayle King, to the gentlemen; Jamie Foxx, Lenny Kravitz and my darling - Terrance Howard .

Victoria's Secret Fashion show will be aired on CBS tomorrow 10PM. I still don't get why do we need lingerie fashion show ? and how many women will be watching ? I don't think I will ever get it unless I turned "Straight". My reasons to watch are the glamorous of the show and Justin Timberlake.

Jamie "Manpower" Durie

TMZ reports that Jamie Durie, a hunky new gardener who was on Oprah on Nov 11, is used to be a male stripper. Jamie, born on June 3, 1970 in Manly in Sydney. Jamie is an accomplished gymnast who has performed in cabaret shows as an acrobat and trapeze artist and with the troupe "Manpower", which he also managed between 1990 ­1996. I think he's cuter now with short hair; but if you like his old look, you can bid on his old program here.
