What a Sad Week
Although these tragedies have different causes - hatred, recklessness, accident - but they're still tragedies. May they rest in peace...
In Norway, bombing and shooting spree at youth camp - at least 93 people confirmed dead.
In London, singer Amy Winehouse found dead in her home at age 27.
In Thailand, the third blackhawk crashed near Thai-Burma border - 17 people dead.

Good Food ???
I had a very good dinner with friends last night but when I came home, my throat got very dry from the effect of MSG. That's mean... the food really wasn't good ! (It happened a lot in Thailand and I hate it.)

Let's Vote
Today is the election day in Thailand after so many political turmoils. I don't think this election will stop the protestors from either side, but it will show where this country is heading to...

WTF
Here is the front page of Thai entertainment magazine. I don't think the stylist was aware that this gesture means 'Cunnilingus'.

Happy Thai New Year
One of the pros about living in Thailand that we have 3 New Years - January 1st, Chinese New Year and Songkran which is Thai traditional New Year. It's perfect for anyone who procrastinates their New Year's Resolutions can have two more chances to start them again...

Copy, right ??
Thailand is the country where people don't care much about copyright. I spot this Murakami-look-alike at a fundraising for flood victims in the southern part of Thailand and I doubt the organizer purchase the right from Mr. Murakami.

More Cold...
Look like there will be 2 more days of the cold weather before changing to Summer. It's very strange for Thailand, especially Bangkok, to get this cold in March. Usually, the temperature is up to about 35 degree Celsius. It's strange but I don't complain one bit...

Just A Thought
According to Wikipedia, "a wedding reception is a party held after the completion of a marriage ceremony. It is held as hospitality for those who have attended the wedding, hence the name reception: the couple receives society, in the form of family and friends, for the first time as a married couple."
Since I moved back to Thailand in 2009, I've been to 3 wedding receptions - including one last night. They were all kind of the same concept meaning took place in a huge hotels' ballrooms, many guests were invited and many of those guests the brides and grooms might have met just once. By comparison; I'd been to many wedding ceremonies and receptions in the US, they were much more intimate - only close friends and families were invited. And usually the guests who attended the receptions came from the ceremonies, not just went straight to the parties.
If I ever have one of my own, I prefer the latter... that's all !

Winter in March
The world is going crazy. First, heavy rain in Bangkok in March which usually is Summer and very hot and dry here. Now, the temperature drops to around 18 oC (64 oF)... that is how cold winter in Bangkok is. Don't get me wrong, I like cold weather but in the same time it's starting to freak me out !!!

Cool City
Yesterday was the first day in since I've been back to Bangkok that the temperature was below 30 degree Celsius. I'm not sure how long the winter is going to last this year (last year was about 3 days.) It does feel really nice to be able to walk around without breaking a sweat and Bangkok seems to be a much better place to live.

Winter is Coming
I'm so happy that I could feel a touch of Winter when I woke up this morning. Last year, we only had 3 days of cool weather in Bangkok but this year every forecast said it will be a cold year. And I'm looking forward to...

Cooling Down
Bangkok temperature starts to cool down and I can feel cool breeze when I wake up in the morning. The forecast said this year will get very cold in Thailand... I love it because last year we had only 3 days of cool weather (just cool, not cold).

My Wish List...
If only Bangkok temperature is cooler around 5 degrees Celsius, it would be a nicer city to live in. (Note: picture above is another city of angel - Los Angeles)

Big Cleaning Day
It was another last minutes decision turned the memory of a lifetime. Yesterday was a "Big Cleaning Day" in Bangkok which the city officials and many volunteers are joining together to clean up Bangkok after the months long protest has ended. I was planning to stop by just a couple hours but I ended up stayed for 5 hours. The energy of people there wouldn't let me leave. It feels so good to see people are reunited after a big rift in Thai society.

Imagine All The People, Living Life in Peace
Today is the 4th day of military crackdown on the protesters. It seems like this will be dragging on for another 2-3 days, if we're lucky... I just hope and pray this will be over soon with less casualty. All I have to say is the government has no choice but using force. They already tried to negotiate, reconcile and all other humane ways to end this conflict but everything was turned down by the Red shirt protesters. Peace !!!
