Visionaire # 53 - SOUND will consist of five 12-inch vinyl records, imprinted with images (picture discs), containing approximately 100 minutes of sound content featuring audio experiments, unreleased songs, samples, and spoken word pieces. The 5 records are packaged inside a domed case that also houses a custom-made MINI Clubman “Vinyl Killer” Record Player: a battery-operated toy car containing speakers and a needle. As the little car drives along the record’s groove, it plays each track, acting as a fully portable record player and sound system. The issue also includes 2 CD’s with all the sound content, and a booklet of credits and instructions. SOUND is a limited edition of 4,000 numbered copies, order now.

Birkin 101

I already told my friends that I need to own a piece of Birkin in my lifetime. Why not now? It's still too expensive for me and looks a little too old. But it doesn't hurt to have a little knowledge about this dream bag.

" Birkins come in sizes 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45cm. The 45 is a travel Birkin with slightly longer straps. There is also a similar bag called a Haut au Courries (sp?) (means High Belts in French) that is slightly taller with shorter straps. These come in sizes 27, 32 and, I believe 37. People still call this a Birkin.

For leather, there are texured and smooth varieties. The most popular leather for Birkins right now is Togo, a scratch resistant textured calf leather. You can also get smooth leathers, and goat leathers, as well as exotics. Some leathers -Togo, Clemence, Natural Barenia, Chevre - (goat,) Box (very smooth and shiny) Chamonix, are always around. Other leathers are produced for awhile, then get discontinued (Veau Graine Lisse, Courcheval for example.) These are usually the pressed leathers with a bit of texture and sheen.

Then, there is the hardware. You can get 24K plated gold, silver palladium, a more burnished ruthenium and one I LOVE called guilloche. This is palladium hw with a diamond cut pattern on it. Fabulous and rare!!

Then there are colors. More than you can imagine. Reds, greens, oranges, browns, yellow... the most popular Birkin colors are Gold (really a rich tan color,) black and Blue Jean (a sky blue - gorgeous.) "

What is the difference between a pit and a seed? I asked my American friends and got different answers until I looked up on Yahoo! Answers.
Here we go, "certain fruits have a pit, such as peach, appricot, plum,and the seed is inside. The pit protects the seed till it gets to conditions that are right for it to start growing. Other fruits have just seeds such as apple, grapes, pear, berries. These will grow with the right conditions. The fruit itself is the ovary where the seed develops.The fruit develops after fertilization in the flower."

LV Won Lawsuit Agaist Britney's Video

A Paris civil court ordered Sony BMG and MTV Online to stop broadcasting or marketing music video of Britney Spears' "Do Something" in any form and fined them 80,000 euros ($117,000) apiece. In the opening scenes of the video (about :40 sec), Spears appears in the driver's seat of a hot pink Hummer floating on make-believe clouds. One shot shows fingers drumming on a dashboard covered with what looks like Vuitton's "Cherry Blossoms" design: dark pink blossoms on a pale pink, weblike background, embossed with the "LV" logo. Unveil The Falcon

Today is a big day at work, we're going to unveil the new falcon, à la "Maltese Falcon." A replica of the bird was stolen in February. When a $25,000 reward failed to get the bird back, restaurateur John Konstin commissioned the sculptors at the nearby Academy of Art San Francisco to make him a new one. The new falcon will be made of bronze, weigh 150 pounds. This new falcon will be placed in a new, reinforced display case protected by a video camera that will stand guard 24 hours a day. "It's a fake of a fake of a fake," acknowledged Konstin, "but people come from all over the world to see it. A lot of people moved to San Francisco because of that movie."

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2007

The Spice Girls are set to perform at Victoria's Secret Fashion Show tonight which will be aired on December 4th. This will be their first television appearance since reuniting. And they'll be sharing the stage with Seal (which there may be a duet between him and Heidi.) Kanye West was due to perform but has canceled his appearance because his mother recently passed away due to complications in cosmetic surgery.
