Emilio Pucci is turning 60 this year and celebrating the occasion with a number of events in its home town of Florence Italy. Company founder Marchese di Barsento Emilio Pucci began his fashion career by designing ski outfits for the Italian national team. He soon branched out into women’s couture and became known for his bold patterns. After his death in 1992 his daughter Laudomia Pucci took over the company which she sold to LVHM in 2000. Designers who have worked at Pucci over the years include Christian Lacroix and Matthew Williamson who still continues on as Creative Director.
