New "IT" Bags

Despite the hideous bag I posted earlier, Marc Jacobs also creates a fabulous bag that I'm sure it will become the "IT" bag next Spring. I also want to show you other soon-to-be "IT" bags from Hermès and Dior.

Love It or Hate It ?

What do you think about this new bag from Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2007 collection? To me it looks like some cheap plastic bags that they sells on the street in Thailand.

What About Brian

The show I've been waiting for is back. Set your Tivo, tomorrow at 10PM is the season premiere of "What About Brian".

Naked Rugby

They sure know how to promote "Rugby". France has "Dieux du Stade"(Top), Australia has "Naked Rugby League"(Bottom). These teams come out with their own version of the calendar which full of eye candies. The winner I have to give to the French for the most daring pictures, they deserve the name "Dieux du Stade" a.k.a. "God of the Stadium".

Back to Basic

By far this collection is the most wearable collection from Mr. Galliano but very artistic, it looks like the models were the walking canvas. I guess when he tried to push the envelope too far, the next shocking thing is coming back to the basic.

Alexander McQueen

Finally, Paris Fashion Week has something worth waiting for...when Mr. McQueen presents his latest collection. Not only he can create theatrically show, but he also the master of the creativity. Every piece in his collection is the work of art.

LVMH sues EBAY

Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior Couture are suing eBay in separate actions that add up to $50 million dollars over allegations that the online auction is promoting counterfeiting by allowing those items to be sold on the site. Tiffany has already successfully sued eBay in the past. eBay currently requires sellers to verify that their products are legitimate but with so many transactions it is impossible to enforce. Its current policy places the obligation on brand owners rather than the auction site itself. LVMH has already successfully sued Google for similar allegations and was awarded 600,000 dollars.

More on Paris Fashion Week

Here come 2 of my favorite labels; Balenciaga and Dior. I have to say this time I need to sit back and watch these collections again. The Robotic theme of Balenciaga looks kinda strange and non-wearable. Then, next Spring must be really dull because even Mr. Galliano made Dior's collection in very neutral tone.

Paris Fashion Week, October 1 until October 8, is the one I'm looking forward to. The shows start with the new generation of trench coats; from A.F. Vandevorst, Viktor & Rolf and Junya Watanabe.

Simple Versace

I guess the trends for next Spring would be "simple" because even Donatella created very simple collection for Versace. They're nice but I'm not impress very much.

The Power 50

Details magazine released "The Power 50" list of the most formidable men under 42 (I don't know why 42, not 41 or 43). Mr. Lance Bass, a.k.a. Reichen got the number 4 on the list. Here is what they wrote about him; " REICHEN LEHMKUHL CLOSET CLEANER; AGE: 32 Reichen Lehmkuhl was the catalyst for the biggest outing since Ellen. Last summer, the Amazing Race contestant was out; his best buddy, the former ’N Sync singer Lance Bass, wasn’t. The blogs were abuzz and the New York Daily News wondered why Bass was borrowing Lehmkuhl’s T-shirt. Bass finally scratched the itch in July with a People magazine cover: I’M GAY. Lehmkuhl’s lesson? The Gay Rumor remains the entertainment world’s most potent weapon."
