Dilemma

I'm starting my new job tomorrow and I'm very excited. I have a little bit of dilemma on what to wear on the first day. My friend told me to go all out and make the first impression, which I partially agree. I think I'm going to go over the top but would dress a little "conservative" and see how the company's environment is like. I do want to make the first impression but I don't want anyone to "judge" me. You know what people are like - if you go overboard, they will judge you as a materialistic instead of seeing your work.
