Beside Thakoon, there is another Thai designer who is also the rising star among New York designers. Koi Suwannagate collaborated with Phillip Lim by incorporating her beautiful hand-sculpted rose designs in 3.1 Phillip Lim’s summer 2007 collection. Most recently the CFDA and Vogue acknowledged her talent with the nomination as finalists for the 2007 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award.
