Chanel will open 14,700-square-foot store designed by Peter Marino at 400 North Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills in August. Architect Marino modeled the store's facade after a Chanel No.5 perfume box, carving out two separate entrances for the contiguous fashion and fine jewelry outposts. Marino's other standout design flourish promises to be the rooftop terrace's facade, where thousands of tone-on-tone LED-lit double-C Chanel logos will shine. Five specially commissioned art works will be scattered around the shop, including a Johan Cretan porcelain torso with camellia flourishes and a François-Xavier Lalanne bronze sculpture of a stag, inspired by a piece that belonged to Coco Chanel. Peter Dayton, Jean-Michel Othoniel and Paola Pivi round out the house's artistic stable. Furniture designers Patrick Fredrikson and Ian Stallard also created a piece. SOURCE

Smell Like Courvoisier

Courvoisier released its own fragrance called "L’Edition Imperiale". Bottled in a robust Italian flacon with detailing across the metal cap and frette, the rich fragrance has spicy top notes of coriander and cardamon, complemented by more mellow base notes of vetiver and amber. The fragrance has been developed very much in accord with the brand's heritage: wood notes are reminiscent of traditional barrels, while leather and smoked tea are reminiscent of a private club.

Last month Pope Benedict XVI stressed the Church's firm opposition to abortion and contraception and railed against sex outside of marriage in Brazil, the world's largest Roman Catholic country. Tiffany & Co. announced plans to open a new boutique for men - "Tiffany & Co. The Men's Store" in Shinjuku, Japan in early September. The boutique is Tiffany's first to focus exclusively on men's jewelry and accessories. Tiffany will introduce new merchandise specifically designed for men at this boutique, including a new collection featuring the exclusive Tiffany Lucida diamond set in white gold.

Tan's Dilemma

Having a "tan line" is always been my dilemma everytime I go to the tanning salon. I'm not sure whether to leave my underwear on or not. Personally, I prefer the all-even color but my friends told me it looks sexier with the tan line. What do you think?
