Heatwave Hits Bangkok

It's almost Thai New Year - Song Kran Day, so , that means it's officially Summer in Thailand. Although I'm not physically there, I can tell that the country got hit by the "Heatwave". How ?? Look at these fashion magazines that feature next-to-nothing models. I have nothing to complain about, the hotter is the better and I'm not talking about the weather.

YouTube Banned in Thailand

Thai telecommunication authorities blocked video-sharing website "YouTube" from the country because the site offered a 44-second slide show containing defaced photos of the country's revered King Bhumibol Adulyadej. In one shot, a pink Afro and red clown nose are painted on his face, while in another a pair of feet dangle above the monarch's head - a taboo in a country where tradition holds that the King's image must be positioned higher than those of others. Shamed on the creator who insult people in the name of "Free Speech". SOURCE

Update: According to YouTube's policy, "We encourage free speech and defend everyone's right to express unpopular points of view. But we don't permit hate speech which contains slurs or the malicious use of stereotypes intended to attack or demean a particular gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or nationality." Remember, Danish cartoon incidence that upset Islam ?? I understand that there is "Free Speech" but please do not cross the line, because who knows what is on the other side...

NYC's Easter Parade

The Fifth Avenue Easter Parade is one of New York's oldest and best-known annual traditions. It is also the "other" gay parade. In Chicago parents take their children to see Santa Claus, in Washington D.C. parents take their kids to see the Easter Bunny, but in Manhattan parents take their kids to see the Easter Drag Queen. Fairy Tale Wedding...For Real

The Walt Disney Co. has changed its policy to allow same-sex couples to participate in a popular "Fairy Tale Wedding program" it runs mainly at its two U.S. resorts and cruise line. Disney previously had allowed gay couples to organize their own weddings or commitment ceremonies at rented meeting rooms at the resorts, but had barred them from purchasing its Fairy Tale Wedding package and holding the event at locations at Disneyland and Walt Disney World that are set aside specifically for weddings. Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding packages start at $8,000 and include a wedding planner, the ceremony, food and beverages, flowers and table decorations."We are not in the business of making judgments about the lifestyle of our guests. We are in the hospitality business and our parks and resorts are open to everyone," said Disney Parks and Resorts spokesman Donn Walker.

Do Pretty People Have Better LIfe ?

Will you get hired just because you're good-looking? Will your good look help your career ? - and I'm not talking about models, actors / actresses. According to this article, plain people earn 5 to 10 percent less than people of average looks, who in turn earn 3 to 8 percent less than those deemed good-looking. It's just another reason for ugly people to be depressed.

Oh No You Didn't !!!

Out magazine just outed Jodie Foster and Anderson Cooper by ranked them in "the 50 Most Powerful Gay Men and Women in America" issue (and also put them on the cover). "There was a time when the closet was a necessary safe haven, but now, it exists as an anachronistic monument to shame. It's time for our public figures to stop hiding in there - and for journalists to stop helping them."said Maer Roshan, who edited the issue. SOURCE
