Thakoon Panichgul, one of New York's brightest fashion stars, is looking for one inspired design to adorn his elegant ruffle-sleeve t-shirt. Download the provided template, create and submit a graphic, and enter to win a "virtual mentorship" with Thakoon, plus have your t-shirt design sold at the famously chic Kirna Zabete boutique in NYC, Tokyo and online. The winner will receive a $1,000 shopping spree at Kirna Zabete, their t-shirt design sold at Kirna Zabete in NY, Tokyo, and online, a feature in ELLE Magazine plus a “virtual mentorship” with Thakoon. New Designer Alert

Thakoon Panichgul, born in Northern Thailand, moved to the United States with his family when he was 11 years old, and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduating from Boston University with a business degree, he moved to New York. As a fashion writer, Thakoon discovered that his ideas were often conceived through a designer's point of view, and he eventually pursued formal studies at Parsons School of Design. In September 2004, Thakoon produced his first ready to wear collection, and quickly became a favorite with the fashion press, top editors and stylists, and celebrities. He has become known for timelessly feminine designs which are as romantic and sensual as they are modern and innovative.

Thakoon for Target

Target just announced that Thakoon will design its next diffusion line. The collection will be launched in December and be available in Target stores and online through January. After making his runway debut in 2005, Thakoon Panichgul was nominated for a CFDA award this year in the Swarovski womenswear category.

Best Christmas Present

Thakoon for Target collection will be launched on Christmas day. Thakoon Panichgul told WWD, "(Target was) very easy to work with. They wanted a lot of prints, and I chose silhouettes that have done well in the past." I Love his clothes even though I can't wear them.
