Visionaire: Tribute to McQueen (Updated)

Visionaire # 58 issue called "SPIRIT" is a tribute to Lee Alexander McQueen. Not much of the detail has been revealed, only the contributors list (such as Nick Knight, Lady Gaga, Steven Klein, Mario Testino, and more.) They're now taking a pre-order and the issue will be available in June. The magazine will have a limited run of 1,500 copies with a retail price of $295. Each issue comes in a case designed by the McQueen studio and wrapped in a metallic brocade from the spring 2010 collection.

Updated: The issue was printed on paper embedded with wildflower seeds. When planted and watered, the pages would blossom (but who will be crazy enough to plant this collector item ??). The case is wrapped in a McQueen metalized brocade from his Spring/Summer 2010 show.

Travel with McQueen

Look like my favorite designer of the moment, Alexander McQueen, doesn't sleep. He recently designed a set of exclusive luggage for Samsonite. Last week he unveiled the center piece of the 11 piece collection which was a rolling suitcase made from molded plastic in the shape of a human rib cage. The luggage zippers are embossed with a mould of McQueen's thumbprint. The luggage and travel accessories should be in stores by February 2007.

MCQUEEN: Plato's Atlantis

I just had a big orgasm by watching live show of Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010 collection - Plato's Atlantis. The show looks like alien models in gorgeous cocktail dresses invaded Paris runway. McQueen also shows his love for Lady Gaga by finished the show with her latest single "Bad Romance." And boy, those shoes aren't made for walking...

Puma by Alexander McQueen

Puma new collection by Alexander McQueen is available now at eluxury.com. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed. It's too simple for Mr. McQueen, I expected something more Avant-garde.

Earthy & Woody McQueen

The futuristic/alien theme is still going strong in Paris. First, Balenciaga took us to another galaxy, now Alexander McQueen presents us what supposed to be an earth-theme but looks more like the aliens...very gorgeous aliens.

Long Live McQueen

I thought it can't get any better...Alexander McQueen always surprise me with his innovation, and yet wearable. His Spring 2008 collection was a tribute to the late Isabella Blow, the woman who discovered him, and faithfully wore his clothes in their most extreme manifestations.
