Songkran festival is starting despite the political turmoil in Bangkok. Many people have left the city due to it's a long week off work and to avoid the chaos. My original plan was to go down to Khaosan road where the fun is happening every year, but not this year. Most of the official festival has been canceled but life has to go on no matter what. I'll try to make the most out of it because this is my first Songkran in Thailand in 14 years
