This week, Visionaire celebrates the launch of Visionaire 2010 and the inauguration of the Los Angeles Nomadic Division (LAND). A portion of the proceeds of sales of Visionaire 2010 between Dec 1-7th will benefit LAND. The issue is available for preview at the LAND installation in the Art Basel Miami Beach Convention Center.Visionaire # 57 presents 365 artworks chosen by 52 curators and art collectors from around the world. These images are organized into an electronic daily calendar, featuring a new work of art every day for the year 2010 and beyond. Curators include: Shamim M. Momin, Nancy Spector, Zaha Hadid, Klaus Beisenbach, Raf Simons, Herzog & de Meuron, James Franco, Natalie Portman and Tilda Swinton.
Founded in 2009 by Shamim M. Momin and Christine Y. Kim, LAND is a non-profit public art initiative committed to commissioning and producing site and situation specific projects with national and international artists, in Los Angeles and beyond.
