Too Hot For Canada

A Canadian Broadcasting Regulatory body decided to ban a recent Chanel TV ads for "Rouge Allure", a lipstick featuring Swiss model Julie Ordon, in a takeoff of 1963 film Le Mépris (Contempt) starring Brigit Bardeau and directed by Jean-Luc Godard was too much for Canadian audiences. The TV Bureau suggested that certain body parts could be blurred or pixelated. Rather than modify the spot to appease the censors Chanel choose to cancel the campaign. SOURCE
