1/3 oz Orange Vodka
1/3 oz Sugar Syrup
2 Dashes Fresh Lemon Juice

Drinking Miss Von Teese

Everybody knows that I have a 'hetero' crush on Dita Von Teese. Since she's a spokeperson of Cointreau, the liquor brand creates a special signature drink for her called "COINTREAU TEESE."

1 ½ ounces Cointreau
¾ ounce apple juice
½ ounce Monin Violet syrup
½ ounce fresh lemon juice
Slice of ginger.

Rub the edge of a chilled martini glass with the ginger slice, then discard the ginger. Combine the rest of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well, and strain into the glass.

HIRO

Located at the base of the Maritime Hotel bordering Chelsea and the Meatpacking District, Hiro - a Japanese-themed ballroom, is a massive, vaulted, dual-level nightclub with a spectacular dance floor hugged by cozy booths to one side and overlooked by a bungalow. The music and the crowd are very energetic. On Sunday nights, Hiro plays host to a packed gay party which attracts mostly a predominantly Chelsea crowd. Hiro is the icing on the cake of my trip in New York and it seemed like I had the unfinished business that I need to go back anytime soon.

All Good Thing Comes To The End

I couldn't believe my favorite club in L.A. is closing. PRIVILEGE is closing the door for good but there will be the last 3 events before the closing - July 29th, August 26th and September 9th (hopefully I can make it to one of them.)
