Can men rescue the holiday shopping season this year? Many men's-only stores are opened and luxury brands released new lines target just-for-men.
Bloomingdale's renovated and expanded the men's tailored clothing floor at its New York flagship. Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Macy's carry more men's goods this holiday season. J. Crew opened its second men's-only store, in Paramus, N.J. Dolce & Gabbana and Lanvin opened men's-only stores in London, and Salvatore Ferragamo in Los Angeles. Louis Vuitton released Damier Graphite, Versace started selling men's suit carriers, briefcases and other accessories inspired by the hood of a new $600,000 Lamborghini.
Clockwise, from top left: Alfani Red, a slim suit silhouette at Macy's (suggested retail, $250); leather slippers and case by Bally ($295), at Saks Fifth Avenue; David Yurman black diamond and silver bracelets ($6,500 and $8,250), at Neiman Marcus; golf bag from Goyard ($8,950), at Bergdorf Goodman; Louis Vuitton motorcycle boot (pair, $1,030); Beatles collectors box ($795), at Bloomingdale's; Versace's men's collection bags (prices upon request).

Is YouTube Gone Too Far?
Remember I reported back in April 2007 about YouTube was banned in Thailand. In March of last year, the similar case happened in Turkey where there were several videos that insulted the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, which is a crime under Turkish law.
Recently New York Times has the article about Google, who owns YouTube, and the censorship. Where is the line between free-speech and hate-speech ? America exercises the freedom of speech, but not in many countries. I believe in a certain level of freedom, as long as doesn't harm anyone nor against the law (of other countries.)

Bamboo & Seaweed
I'm not talking about food but it's equally yummy...Two underwear lines from C-IN2, Bamboo and seaweed. Bamboo collection (above), which is available since May 08, is naturally anti-bacterial and green product. Dark Shadow (below), which contains 25% seaweed, holds vitamins and minerals which can be absorbed into the body, just for you who want to keep that area healthy (available late Nov 08.)

Cold Turkey
The party is finally over.
It's been a long Birthday/Thanksgiving week for me. At first I didn't have plan for both my Birthday and Thanksgiving dinners. I started celebrating my Birthday since Monday night with a few beers (yes, beers...) with friends from work. Then, on Tuesday I had an amazing dinner with my ex- at the restaurant called Garibaldi's. After dinner, I went out with another set of friends from work and had more drinks. Thank god I didn't drink on Wednesday. And last night, more friends came over to my house for Thanksgiving. Of course, more wines and more champagne were poured... I feel like I've been having way too much to drink. I need to stop for awhile.

Discount Signature Pieces ?
The sign of bad economy is when the signature pieces from the collection are left on sale. Usually these items are gone on the first day they were available or 'waitlist only' (such as the black dress above.) The other day, I spot these key items from Balenciaga Fall 2008 collection are marked down 40% off at Neiman Marcus SF. I wish I could fit in these tops.
